Terms of Use for TaqwaHub
Please read these Terms of Use carefully before using the TaqwaHub mobile application operated by the TaqwaHub team. By downloading, installing, or using TaqwaHub, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you disagree with any part of these terms, you may not use the App.
1. Description of Service
TaqwaHub is an offline-first Islamic companion application providing spiritual tools, including:
- Quran reading and audio recitation
- Prayer time schedules and Athan alerts
- Qibla directional compass
- Tasbeeh counter and daily spiritual goals
- Community support and feedback forms
2. Islamic Content Disclaimer
Educational and Informational Purpose
All content provided in TaqwaHub—including Quranic text, translations, and prayer times—is intended solely for general informational, educational, and spiritual guidance purposes.
Scholarly Consultation
For binding religious guidance, legal matters, or complex jurisprudence (Fiqh), users should always consult qualified human Islamic scholars and local authorities.
3. User Accounts and Code of Conduct
To access certain community features (such as leaderboards, feedback submission, and customized cloud data), you may need to register an account using Firebase Authentication.
You agree to:
- Provide accurate and truthful information during sign-up.
- Maintain the security and confidentiality of your account credentials.
- Not use the App for any unlawful, harmful, or abusive activity.
- Not post offensive, hateful, or inappropriate content in support complaints or community feedback.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or disrupt the TaqwaHub community.
4. Third-Party Advertisements and Voluntary Support
A. Advertisements
TaqwaHub integrates third-party mobile advertising networks (such as Google AdMob) to fund and maintain the service. These ads may include banner, interstitial, or rewarded video advertisements.
B. Rewarded Ad Mechanics
Users can voluntarily choose to watch a rewarded video advertisement to earn specific in-app features (e.g., earning a streak safeguard buffer to protect their spiritual streak). These points or buffers have no real-world monetary value, are non-transferable, and cannot be redeemed for cash.
C. External Links
Donation/support features and certain external links redirect to our official web portal (https://taqwahub.vercel.app). TaqwaHub has no control over, and assumes no responsibility for, the content, privacy policies, products, or practices of any third-party websites or ad services.
5. Intellectual Property Rights
- Original Material: The TaqwaHub logo, custom UI design, source code, app layout, and original branding are the exclusive property of the TaqwaHub team.
- Religious Texts and Audio: Quranic texts, public domain translations, and recitations remain the property of their respective creators and standard public domain or open resources.
6. Availability, Sync Operations, and Service Modifications
TaqwaHub is engineered with an offline-first local database model. To conserve cloud database resources, battery usage, and your network bandwidth, server-synced content (including the custom Supplications/Dua Library) must be updated manually via gestural Swipe-to-Refresh or manual Sync buttons.
Features, screens, and server capabilities may be modified, optimized, or restricted for maintenance, budget, or policy updates without prior notice. While TaqwaHub includes offline functionality, online services (such as online audio streaming and leaderboards) depend on server availability and internet connectivity.
7. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, TaqwaHub and its developers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages resulting from:
- Your use or inability to use the App.
- Minor discrepancies in prayer calculations caused by inaccurate device hardware, GPS variance, or local method settings.
- Interruption or unavailability of server-based features.
- The nature or content of third-party advertisements shown within the App.
8. Termination
We reserve the right to terminate or suspend access to our App immediately, without prior notice, if you breach these Terms of Use. You may discontinue using the App at any time by uninstalling it from your device.
9. Governing Law and Updates
These Terms shall be governed and construed in accordance with standard legal principles without regard to conflict of law provisions. We reserve the right to modify or replace these Terms at any time by updating this document on our website.
